A Philosophical Salon

A six-week part-time course consisting of lectures, selected readings, and group discussions.
18 Hours of Continuing Education

A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded upon completion

Everyone is warmly welcome to this Philosophical Salon where a series of six questions are posed: What does it mean to be true to myself?, What does it mean to be a friend?, What does it mean to be free?, What is beauty?, Who am I?, and What is inner truth and how seriously should I take it? We will begin with the topic in question, study selected passages from the great philosophers, then discuss the ideas which emerge. No previous knowledge of philosophy is required. The Philosophical Salon is an open, creative space for speculation, reflection, interpretation, and illumination. It is a gathering – a meeting of minds – the main aim being to increase the knowledge of participants through conversation: to educate and enjoy.
