MAP your life and work with Meaning and Purpose - December 1st, 2018

This one-day seminar will be dedicated to discovering how we can find meaning and fulfil purpose in our work and life. Our three philosopher-guides will be: Viktor Frankl, Bernard Lonergan and Ira Progoff.

The day will be divided into three parts:

Part One (the contribution of logotherapy): meaning vs purpose, the path to purpose, the PIL test administered, and the ‘Meaning Triangle’.

Part Two: Costello’s ‘Meaning Map’ outlining the five levels of meaning, the four functions of meaning and the three modalities of meaning (drawing on the work of Lonergan).

Part Three: ‘The Meaning Dimension’ in Progoff’s intensive journaling method, and an additional component on Job Crafting (meaning at work). The format of the day consists of theoretical lectures, experiential exercises and group discussions.

Facilitator: Dr Stephen J. Costello, Founder-Director of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Ireland.
